I (and the hundreds who joined our #LibDemPint meetups in London, then around the country) am keen to help the party become clearer about what it is without the need of conceptual crutches like 'left' or 'right' wing. I also live in a digital world, where discussion, debate and organisation are happening 24/7 without the need to join committees. So here is a plea from a newbie: listen to us; don't limit thinking time to what happens behind the closed doors of committee meetings; use us, for we are (quite literally) legion! But more than anything, please don't do anything drastic without consulting us first!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03145535575953219126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6606798.post-51940017894091074762015-05-21T16:36:04.085+01:002015-05-21T16:36:04.085+01:00I think someone needs to re-read Greaves and Lishm...I think someone needs to re-read Greaves and Lishman, ‘The Theory and Practice of Community Politics’. Some of the money donated for campaigning should be diverted into subsidising those who need it in order to broaden the base of our internal democratic processes.

This is something I believe the trade unions do and presumably the Labour Party as well.

Perhaps it is something the Joseph Rowntree Foundation could look at. There are a couple of other smaller parties who could benefit.Frank Littlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12447989626809704972noreply@blogger.com
