Will Hay quiz: Answers and winners

Welcome to Bonkers Hall for the draw for Liberal England's latest prize quiz.

This is the fifth quiz this blog has run. In the past we have given you the chance to win the Taking Liberties DVD, Eamonn Butler's The Rotten State of Britain, Patrick Hannan's A Useful Fiction and James Hogg's biography of James Robertson Justice. You don't get that from many other blogs.

I had hoped to hold tonight's ceremony in the famous Ballroom at Bonkers Hall, but it turned out that the Oddfellows had already booked it. Instead, we are in Meadowcroft's potting shed, and as he is keen to lock up and get off to the Bonkers' Arms I shall not detain you.

First the answers to the questions.

What is the name of the 1942 film in which Will Hay satirised Nazi Germany?
The Goose Steps Out

Which two actors regularly appeared in films as Will Hay's sidekicks?
Graham Moffatt and Moore Marriott

Who played "Will Silly" (an affectionate parody of Will Hay) in Harry Enfield's television special Norbert Smith - A Life?
Peter Goodwright

And now the winners.

Drawn from Meadowcroft's cloth cap they are:
  • David Burley
  • Gwyn Griffiths

Congratulations to both of them and thank you to everyone who entered.
