Rupert Everett to play Jeremy Thorpe

Down in London for the day job, I pick up a copy of the Evening Standard. An interview with Rupert Everett catches my eye:
what is really exciting him now is his next film project, in which he will play Jeremy Thorpe, the former Liberal leader accused and acquitted of conspiring to murder his alleged lover, Norman Scott. The film, which is planned for the BBC, will hand Everett, he hopes, his first award-winning role.
But what really catches my eye is the way this interview is billed:
The star of St Trinian’s on his bond with his father, losing his looks, and gaining a plum role as an infamous MP ‘bender’...
Classy.

  1. I volunteer my neighbour's vicious pooch to play the dog ...

  2. Perhaps the film theme could be selected from the Liberator song book?

And the word verification is 'molesti'

    You couldn't make it up!

  3. And the word verification is now 'imessnot'
Would that have been his defence - if he took the stand?
