Against Lighter Later
How did you find getting up for work yesterday morning. A bit dark and cold, wasn't it?
If you would like it to have been an hour darker and an hour colder, then support Lighter Later.
It would be totally Un-British to do this the same way as the rest of Europe - we expect you to be different ...
I remember working for Opel many years ago (in the IT department) and we were laughing all the time at the crazy ideas of the people at Vauxhall.
Anything possible they would do "the other way", until GM stopped that nonsense and let Opel develop the cars for all of Europe - Vauxhall would just "mirror" them ...
In Leeds in about 1970 the police put coppers into cars, and bought a batch of Vauxhall Vivas - the prettier one, not that ugly mid 60s one. 4 or 5 of them were lined up for the press, the coppers got into them, and they were all driven away in a line. The copper driving the front one stopped suddenly, they all crashed nose to tail. (Story forwarded by my brother - I remember him later showing me the picture, which would probably have been in the Yorkshire Post or Evening Post.)
That is so off topic - forgive me. I'm also with Jennie Rigg.
No, its fine, you see once we put the clocks and hour back then we are all justified in starting work an hour later!
ReplyDeleteJust think, an extra hour in bed EVERY MORNING!!!
