Lord Kitchener: London is the Place for Me



This was used in last night's BBC documentary about the Festival of Britain, but I have had it in mind for some time.

London is the Place for Me was also used as the title track for a collection of Trinidadian calypsos that was issued some years ago.

    Put it down to my basic lack of knowledge of the genre, but I was expecting a man with a walrus moustashe looking angry wearing a fez!

    That genius song in the documentary about the Festival itself was also by Lord Kitchener....
