Les Dawson and John Cleese

I remember watching the fourth and final series of Monty Python - the one made without John Cleese - religiously in 1974. Pretty soon to do so did become a matter of near-religious faith, because it was quite spectacularly unfunny. But maybe this would be the week when it was as funny as it used to be?

Meanwhile, John Cleese was appearing with Les Dawson in Sez Lez, which seems to have been largely written by David Nobbs. Unlike the fourth series of Monty Python, it was funny. And this sketch, at least, is still funny today.

Time for a bit of rewriting of comic history?
