I first posted this video from the British Council Film Collection back in May. It deals with the fight for Kettering at the 1945 general election, when Labour's Gilbert Mitchison defeated the sitting Conservative John Profumo.
It may hold new interest now, as in those days the Kettering constituency included the town of Corby. And there is to be a by-election in the Corby constituency later this year.
