Birmingham: The great working city

I have spent most of this week in the press office at my employers' annual conference in Birmingham.

Every time I visit the city I am struck by how friendly and helpful Brummies are. In my experience only the people of Newcastle upon Tyne can rival them for this.

I did look for a video of the canals around the International Convention Centre to post as a tribute to Birmingham, but could not find one that was entirely suitable. So instead, here is a lecture on the history of the city by that great Brummie Professor Carl Chinn.
