The ingenuous Tim Fortescue, who was a Conservative whip between 1970 and 1973 (when Ted Heath was prime minister) explains how the system works - or at least worked in those days.
It may surprise my younger readers to learn that he sat for a Liverpool constituency.
One has to accept that the establishment comprises the ONLY people qualified to investigate sexual abuse by members of the establishment.
ReplyDeleteOr us plebs need to argue that plebs -- smart people who attended a red brick university, or those with no formal qualification -- should be in control. Now is a good time.
