Back in the 1960s, before the touchy-feely, child-centred Green Cross Code was thought of, we had the kerb drill:
"At the kerb, halt! Look right, look left, look right again. If all clear, quick march!"Now, with the poster above, the Liberal Democrats are trying to revive it. Could there be a grown up in charge of our campaign after all?

Who is that actor in the second clip? He appeared in so many government propaganda films after the war, including, if I remember the "coughs and sneezes spread diseases" one memorably mocked by Tony Hancock.
