I was very sorry to hear of the death of Clive Dunn. Performers who have been on television for as long as I can remember are rare creatures these days, though in Dunn's case that is chiefly because Dad's Army is still constantly repeated - not that anyone is complaining.
Beyond Corporal Jones, there are two ways I should like to remember him.
The first is this remarkably frisky interview from the Guardian, published in 2002.
The second is with a song from his album 'Permission to Sing Sir'. The Downstairs Lounge will tell you all about it.
