Denis Healey: The Best Prime Minister Labour Never Had?
While Britain watched The Great British Bake Off, BBC2 showed this excellent documentary on the career of Denis Healey.
You can now view it on BBC iPlayer, and I urge you to do so.
The still above shows Ken Livingstone, Tony Benn and a young Jeremy Corbyn during the 1981 deputy leadership election in which Healey narrowly defeated Benn and quite possibly saved the Labour Party.
It seems Corbyn is determined to ensure that achievement is only temporary.
