Today I bagged another Edward VII postbox. Having stalked and photographed the three examples in Leicestershire (on the Saffron Lane Estate and in Earl Shilton and Hugglescote) a couple of years ago, I was looking for more worlds to conquer. Then I read online that there was a box in Stamford.
And here it is. You'll find it on Ryhall Road, not far from Greyfriars Gatehouse.

How about searching for the Royal Mail gold painted ones and photoing them?
ReplyDeleteEdward V111 was not a very good example of the hereditary principle, indeed, a right waste of space, and there is evidence of a very dodgy relationship with the Fuhrer. More familiar with the 'delights' of Paris than the trenches in WW1. Trainspotting - especially steam ones - is a lot more fun, Jonathan.
