Has Nick Clegg explained anywhere his decision not to fight David Davis?
I recall him making a statement at the time Davis announced his resignation that because of the circumstances and single issue of the by-election it would be wrong to run a candidate when the Lib Dem position is the same. However I can't find an immediate link.
