So farewell then Miss Brahms

Wendy Richard died today. I am not an EastEnders fan (though June Brown is a national treasure) so I shall remember her as Miss Brahms from Are You Being Served?

Before that I have the vaguest recall of her being in a sixties BBC soap opera called The Newcomers. And, as long ago as 1962, Wendy Richard featured on a number one record: "Come Outside" by Mike Sarne.

Enjoy.

I think I liked her best as Walker's slinky girlfriend in Dad's Army though, back in the early 70s - that was a role she really excelled in.

It's a respectful memorial to her and somewhere to pay tribute to her fortitude in fighting her illness.
