A cat in a sink yesterday
This is Bessie who, technically speaking, is not my mother's cat...
That cat is lovely - and I know cats love "strange" places. Our cat decided that her new resting place is the bathmat that we put somewhere for the dog when it comes in out of the rain - it's easier to wash than the carpet where the dog usually sleeps.
So now the dog reluctantly share the new resting place with the cat - but they manage ...
PS: The water installation seems to be typical antique (or unpractical, if it's younger tah 20 years) English - no mixing faucet and the dishwasher or washing machine doesn't have its own drain ...

Was she there of her own volition?
Yes, the sink is one of her favourite places.
