The Department for Transport has given its support to plans for the reopening of a rail link between Oxford and Cambridge and says it is now starting work on the proposal.Oxford to Bletchley is open for most of its length but for freight only; Bletchley to Bedord has a passenger service; and Bedford to Cambridge closed in 1967 and has been built on in places. You can read about the proposals to revive and rebuild the line on the East West Rail website.
And there's more good news in the Coventry Telegraph: a new station is to be built in Kenilworth.
