The former leader and current chairman of North Norfolk District Council, Simon Partridge, has been elected to stand as the Liberal Democrat prospective parliamentary candidate for Yarmouth.
Mr Partridge, a magistrate in Yarmouth for the past 10 years, was born in nearby Caister and went to school locally. For the last eight years he and his wife have run a bed-and-breakfast business in Catfield.
An amusingly eclectic mix of culture and politics from Jonathan Calder

"Jonathan Calder holds his end up well in the competitive world of the blogosphere" - New Statesman
"A prominent Liberal Democrat blogger" - BBC Radio 4 Today programme
