The Old Gaol, Montgomery
This grandiose gateway was added to the Montgomeryshire County Gaol after the Prison Act of 1865, but the establishment closed in 1878.
The governor's residence still stands - that is the red brick building you can see behind the arch - as does part of one cell block wall.
