Clio Chang totally nails it, I remember the wit and sophistication of Netscape Navigator messageboards - much like the rapier barbs of Dr Johnson's coffee house London or the high-minded sophistication of Vienna's cake shops before WWI, only more so.
I really miss communing with 70-year-olds who had an unhealthy interest in Vic-20 software and radio controlled cars!
