Today's opinion polls make an early election less likely

Three opinion polls were published today, and all three show sharp falls in the Labour lead.

39% - Labour
38% - Conservatives
16% - Liberal Democrats

YouGov/Channel 4 News
40% - Labour
36% - Conservatives
13% - Liberal Democrats

Populus/The Times
39% - Labour
36% - Conservatives
15% - Liberal Democrats

All of which, I think we can safely conclude, makes an early election much less likely.
