After his visit to Hinckley, Matthew Hulbert and his fellow local Liberal Democrats "left the meeting feeling cheered, invigorated and ready for the political fight ahead".Elsewhere in the county, reports Mark Pack, Martin Cartwright, councillor for Groby, has left the Conservative Party and joined the ruling Liberal Democrat group on Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council. Groby, incidentally, is pronounced "Grooby" and featured on Time Team a couple of weeks ago.
