A tin tabernacle in Leicester
You don't have to visit the Welsh border to find a tin church. We have one in Leicester.
This church on Abbey Lane is now occupied by the Mormons. It was built as a mission hall by St Peter's, Belgrave. Which means, as you will see in due course, that worship continues in Abbey Lane but not at St Peter's.
In the mean time, you may enjoy the Tin Tabernacles website.

I seem to remember that seeing one on Exmoor, perhaps 25 years ago, but not in the list of photos on Tin Tabernacles. Indeed
http://www.exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk/index/looking_after/living_in_communities/churches.htm
confirms that there were more and some may still be found.
Lets have accurate research when posting here please, this building is used by the Community of Christ and not by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons)
