Only five candidates in the Leicester South by-election

Nominations have closed for the Leicester South by-election on 5 May and there are just five candidates:

• Jon Ashworth (Labour)
• Zuffar Haq (Liberal Democrat)
• Howling Laud Hope (Monster Raving Loony)
• Jane Hunt (Conservative)
• Abhijit Pandya (UKIP)

My prediction - "this is no Barnsley Central: we are not going to finish sixth" - is looking safer by the day.
