Knife Painter has a thoughtful post with a beautiful photograph which captures the charm of Happisburgh.
The only thing I would add is that, though the posting talks about land reclamation, it is worth pointing out that Happisburgh is threatened by the crumbling of its cliffs. Maybe there is a case for allowing overenthusiastically reclaimed land to revert to salt marsh, but that is not relevant at Happisburgh.
Happisburgh, incidentally, is pronounced "Haisbro".

Crumbling cliffs, maybe. However, Beach Road's disappearance over the last decade is due to the cliff being eroded from the bottom, by the sea.
Come and stand there with me on a January night with 60 knots of North Easterly nipping in from the sea and see what you think !
