Russell Howard: It doesn't impress me and it won't impress the examiners

After viewing several editions of Mock the Week, I have come to a conclusion. Russell Howard is not funny.

He is like a schoolboy who plays the class clown: briefly endearing, he soon becomes annoying.

So get on with your work, Howard, and stop disturbing the other boys.

I totally agree..........he is just NOT FUNNY at all! I've tried very hard to find something he has said funny, but it just isn't happening.

I think they use the word "alternative comedy" because it's very "unfunny comedy"! I know funnier people that don't even try to be funny.

Go get a real job Mr Howard!

I'm watching it now.

I've not thought he's funny for a long, long time. Just thought I'd run a Google search to check it wasn't just me... :)

I think he tries a little too hard.

Howard uses uncool, childish obsivational "comedy" to try to get cheap laughs.

Usually along the lines of "Imagion two elves playing ping pong with a squirral" Just not funny.

People on Mock the Week who laugh at Howard are either fat women who fancy him or people who laugh out of pity.

By the way has anyone else noticed his uncontrolable blinking every second and his outragous sweating. Look his pits next time he is in a light coloured t-shirt and is not trying to hide the stains by welding his elbows to his sides,

He wasn't funny on Jonathan Ross the other night either, even though Wossy did his usual buttering-up routine with his guests...

Quite right, his 'comedy' is dull and juvenile, and on top of that he either makes things up or just embellishes the truth. I also watched him on Jonathan Ross, what was that crappy story about hiding under his brother's bed? Why did he have to wriggle about on the floor like that! Everyone looked like they were forcing their laughter including poor Reese Witherspoon, who's got so many better things to be doing than putting up with Russel Howard

Is it not just that he is on a show with Frankie Boyle ? He'd make anyone seem unfunny.

FACT: Russell Howard is an unfunny idiot. His jokes are lame, his delivery of his desperate material is like an excited child. And how can some one with as many physical failings as him mock other peoples appearance? (Reccuring mockery of Fat/Bald/Gingers etc) He looks likes his face has been squashed in a vice, if his eye's were any closer together he could save money on glasses and just wear a monocle. And whats with the ticks & twitches. Probably a result of being beaten up by girls as a child. Get of my screen Howard!

you're soo right no one on this planet finds him browsin the news looking up stories and trying to make them funnier for everyone then at the end showing somethign to cheer everyone up funny at all!!! ARE YOU INSANE!!! it's the funniest show ever and it makes people feel better, I don't mind that you don't think he's funny I just can't see how you can't find him funny I'm a little immature I admit and that's what's funny about it, and by the way he has a lazy eye don't make fun of him it's not nice at all!!! xox :P

Shut up, he's awesome, he's made something of his life, your friends may be funny but they havnt bothered their asses to do comedy, and you cant judge him just cause you've watched mock the week, he is hilarious,, shuttup .........

who are you to say he's not funny, just cause you don't find him funny. also you say about him taking the Mick out of certain people,, that's being hypocritical as you then go on to say about his features, the fact that he was born with a lazy eye isn't his fault, he cant help how he looks, he's not ugly at all. he's awesome!!!!!!!

He's well funny, you're all wrong who says he isn't :)

i dont find silly observations that turn "surreal" followed by an impression of an old person, Cornish person or thick 'idiot' that descends into shouting funny whatsoever but Russell Howard is doing a tried and tested method to raise a cheap laugh in and over populated digital medium where talent is spread so thin to encompass more channels than we can possibly watch, so good luck to him.

I love MTW but Russell Howard
makes me change channel. Why do the others on the show not grow
some balls and refuse to laugh at him - now that WOULD be funny...

Is it just me or does the fact you would spend the time to watch several episodes of mock the week to discover whether you find someone unfunny , funny in a very sad way . Seems more like you ran out of material to write about and just wanted to cry a bit cause his opinions get on tv .

you don't have to watch it , you could turn over , you could even find some lol cats and pretend you have found a sense of humor , seriously does this count as a relevant thing to write about in your blog ? Or is it just filler ? Anyway just passing through , you keep the lib dems torch of relevance to the nation burning away you internet jedi you :)
