Not so long ago the state of the Inclined Plane, the Foxton Steps and the Bottom Lock Basin was pretty poor and I even described some of it as looking worse than the bomb sites I had seen in Bosnia.My own views on the restoration of Foxton Locks - the last time I saw them was when I walked there and back in November - are more ambivalent.
