Electric Eden has the best index ever

I have been recommending people with the slightest interest in folk rock to read Rob Young's book Electric Eden: Unearthing Britain's Visionary Music ever since I started it.

Not the least of its attractions is its index. I have already pointed out the run:
  • Winstanley, Gerrard
  • Winwood, Steve
  • Witchfinder General
But you will also find:
  • Jefferies, Richard, After London, or Wild England
  • Jefferson Airplane
and:
  • Traffic
  • Traherne, Thomas
both of which beat even the
  • Edrich, W.J.
  • Eliot, T.S.
of C.L.R. James's Beyond a Boundary.

With that index (and Rob's website, of course) I now know where this month's crop of Amazon vouchers will be used.

By the way, shouldn't that be "T. S. Eliot" rather than "Eliot, T. S."? I'm quite sure the author of The Waste Land never played as a professional, much less had any Half Man Half Biscuit songs written about him.

Captcha = "mulialli". Any relation to Alan?
