A little of Lord Bonkers' table talk from luncheon today...

I met that fellow Cameron the other day. He was out with a posse of Conservative party workers delivering leaflets on behalf of one Kashif Ali.

"I see you're not taking this Saddleworth by-election too seriously," I ventured.

"Why do you say that?" he replied, indicating his armful of leaflets and all the helpers behind him.

"Because you are in Melton Mowbray, man."
