BBC News reports that river dredging has begun on the Somerset Levels as part of a package of measures aimed at preventing a repeat of the winter floods.
The rivers being dredged are the Parrett and the Tone.
With apologies to Disgruntled Radical for borrowing his pun. He can use my mallard imaginaire one day.

I was so sure their had to be a joke about a dresged parret there I entirely failed to notice the actual pun.
