Case against Otis Ferry on the point of collapse

From the Shropshire Star:

Shropshire huntmaster Otis Ferry heard today that charges of “witness nobbling” – that saw him locked up for four months – are likely be dropped.

Ferry, 26, son of Roxy Music singer Bryan Ferry, was due to stand trial on charges of robbing a hunt monitor, assault and interfering with a witness.

But today Ferry, joint master of the South Shropshire Hunt, learned that the charge of perverting the course of justice was set to be abandoned due to “inconsistencies”.

Gloucester Crown Court judge Martin Picton described the situation as “nonsense” and told prosecutor Stephen Dent that he wanted “something by way of explanation” given that he had remanded Ferry over Christmas because of the allegation.

Back in November, I made fun of Daniel Kawczynski, the Tory MP for Shrewsbury, after he claimed that Ferry was being held as a political prisoner.

I could say that I will never laugh at Kawczynski again, but I fear that would prove a hard promise to keep.

Ferries offers the best services with luxury. Hotel makes you feel like a monarch surrounded by water.
