Paxo stuffed by Plaid Cymru economist

One of the most remarkable clips from this election campaign:

I did see it last night, but thanks to Love and Garbage.

Paxman lost it. Muttering and mumbling after he had been found out. Classic material!

Last night's Paxman interview with the Plaid economist ap Gwilliams was a superb, almost unique, example of someone who turned the tables on the BBC's badgering, and had Paxman seriously rattled.

Supremely good. Make him Shadow Chancellor not Vince Cable.

Why don't all the Tories like Grayling who get the BBC treatment bite back? (Listen to Evan Davis this morning on Today, dogmatically shafting those who do not believe in Labour's and thus the BBC's God - the British Crime Survey)

Re: Gralying. I listened to the Today interview, having failed to refer to any statistical evidence, Grayling quoted two pieces of high profile examples as proof that violent crime had risen. Two high-profile cases that were remarkably similar to the Steven and Philip Lawrence deaths in the early 1990s under the Conservatives. That's treating the programme's audience like idiots who are happy to swallow any reactionary bluster, no wonder Davis went for him.

CARP - I'm not sure that "Mr" ap Gwilym was a correct form of address.

On the other hand, Plaid Cymru's parliamentary leader Elfyn Llwyd has no grasp of economics whatsoever. This is splendid car crash television:
