Broad Street station, London



Looking at this photo, it is remarkable that this forgotten London terminus survived for another 14 years after it was taken in 1972.

I can remember, on a summer Saturday in 1983 or 1984, being the only passenger on a train when it arrived here.

Were the "American" cars, retired a few decades earlier from the Mersey Railway, still in use?

Not that I saw, but I don't know what stock worked the rush-hour trains to Watford (which were the last service to use Broad Street).
