Earthquake latest

An expert calling the BBC from America has just said that our earthquake was 4.7 on the Richter scale and that the epicentre was 30 miles south of Hull, which places it somewhere in Lincolnshire.

Now they are interviewing David Rendell for some reason.

not 100% sure how far Lincoln is from Hull, but it was pretty strong here

I was awake early and heard contradictory reports on BBC World Service. First during a current affairs programme it was 5.3 and then the 5 a.m. newsreader said 4.7. Now in R4 Today they seem to have settled on 5.3.

Wow...much more information than they managed on the whole of the early morning BBC bulletin! Thanks.
