Now there's an exciting Guardian headline.
The accompanying news story concerns the launch of the book Reinventing the State: Social Liberalism for the 21st Century.
I am not sure the newspaper's attempt to talk up a clash between its contributors and those who wrote chapters in The Orange Book in 2004 really holds water. Some people (Chris Huhne, Steve Webb and quite possibly others if you bother to check) have written for both publications.
The great thing about Reinventing the State is its size and weight. If you find yourself involved in a tricky argument with a Tory or Socialist, you can always hit them over the head with it.

The enormous picture of the Huhne on the cover might also have given them pause for thought, if we're honest...
One of the contributors who also contributed to the Orange Book seems to be Nick Clegg, who hardly belongs to the left of the party.
