A little piece of Liberal history for £5
In a Stamford bookshop today (though not the one that stuffs owls) I bought a copy of a one-volume edition of The Autobiography of Margot Asquith edited by Mark Bonham Carter. He was the son of Margot's stepdaughter Violet.

Excellent. Awesome find.
By coincidence, they were talking about Anthony Asquith on the Film Programme on Radio 4 on Friday. His 1929 silent film A cottage on Dartmoon (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0020793/) has just been released on DVD. Wonderfully, it includes a scene where the characters go to the cinema and see a talkie.
