A comment on the Girl in the Headlines page includes this about one of the scenes:
"...seems to be a gay bar,but the word (it's 1963)is not uttered".
1966 Manchester: my then boss persuaded a group of us young innocents that we should attend a night school class, and arranged for us to meet in a pub beforehand - tuned out to be a gay pub (but the word was not uttered).
