"Everybody out": Tribune says another dozen Labour MPs may quit

Tribune is reporting speculation that a dozen more Labour MPs may stand down at the general election.

The newspaper says:
The party’s ruling National Executive Committee has decided to attempt where possible to avoid having to directly impose candidates after announcement of the election. But there are doubts over how much involvement there will be for constituency parties whose MP leaves it very late to reveal their intentions.
Which will be very convenient for Gordon Brown and his close circle.

This sort of thing happens before every election, but there are already record numbers of MPs standing down.
