Six of the Best 48

Nick Clegg told the Independent on Sunday today that voters have “A once in a generation chance for real change”.

What is it with Sutton and Cheam? They used to have Lady Olga Maitland as their MP - "Of course we are not patronising women. We are just going to explain to them in words of one syllable what it is all about.” Now the Conservative candidate is Philippa Stroud, who is reported as having founded a church that tried to cure homosexuals by driving out their demons through prayer. Mark Pack on Liberal Democrat Voice has today's developments in the story.

And an Independent candidate in the same constituency has made the unwise move of combining his election address with discount vouchers for his own businesses. The Libertarian Party Members' Blog is not impressed.

Bridgwater and West Somerset Liberal Democrats report that Ian Liddell-Grainger is refusing to debate with the mighty Theo Butt Philip.

The Observer says the Liberal Democrats can win Luton South, reports Strange Thoughts. The paper names some other seats that we could win from third place.

Music Meanings and Miscellany reviews an album inspired by the Snailbeach lead mine in Shropshire. Sounds my kind of thing.
