I live-tweeted several session at the British Psychological Society Annual Conference today. One was based around the Society's report Obesity in the UK: A Psychological Perspective, which can be downloaded free of charge.
One interesting point from the discussion was a veiled criticism of commercial weight-loss programmes. Anyone can lose weight in the short term: the difficult part is keeping it off after that. But such a pattern of yo-yo dieting suits commercial providers rather nicely.
