Queen Elizabeth II has died at the age of 96
I was over at my mother's house this afternoon, continuing to sort through her belongings, when I read on Twitter that the Queen had died.
There really are no grown ups left to tell us what to do.
I think we need a slightly younger grown up than Michael Hesltine (89 years) or even Chris Patten (78 years). Alastair Campbell is still tarnished, although he has weathered better than many other Labour compatriots.
It seems that the New Labour years and those which followed have not provided a political generation to respect.

Heseltine? Baron Campbell?
