Nottingham Victoria to Derby Friargate

Archive footage (without sound) of the Great Northern line from Nottingham to Derby, which closed in 1964. Towards the end you can see a train on the Bennerley Viaduct.

Visitors to the Derby Lib Dem office can view some of the remains of Derby Friargate station whose site was on the opposite side of Great Northern Road. Indeed, Great Northern Road itself takes its name from the railway company.
