It was a pleasure to see this 1941 short film. I was about 5 years old at the timne and remember much of it. The people carried their gas mask cases and queued orderly. And amazing - they all had white faces - no diversity. How did we manage?
I remember the con trails to as well - we were in Tottenham at the time and all came out to watch the small bright dot of a parachute descend from the bright blue sky.
