Tracing the lost River Westbourne

Another lost London river. This time it's the Westbourne, which rose at Hampstead Heath and flowed to the Thames at Chelsea.

I wonder if you'd like the Rivers of London books by Ben Aaronovitch? They feature lost London rivers, and the sort of sense of place that appeals to you, but also mysteries and various other esoterica, combined with police procedures. And they are written with a lighter touch than this hurried comment... With best wishes from Dr Anonymous, thanks for the marvellous blog

I don't read as much fiction as I should these days, but I did start the first of those books and will finish it one day.

Thank you for your kind comments, Doctor.
