A video of Sir Archibald Sinclair
Many thanks to Paul Walter at Liberal Burblings for pointing us to the British Pathe website.
Paul has flagged up several videos of Liberal interest. Here is another: a speech by Sir Archibald Sinclair from the 1945 election campaign.
Fascinating. Sinclair was the best-looking of the party leaders. (He was also well-equipped to serve a post-war Commons in other ways, and it was a shame that he lost his seat.)
Early on, he seems to be taking the occasional glance at a cue-card.
I note that the dragon was prominent among the flags forming the back-drop! ;-)
