Rod Stewart and Steve Winwood in 1965

Today's news that Rod Stewart and Steve Winwood are to play 10 dates together in the US next year puts me in mind of this American television special from 1965 when Stewart was 20 and Winwood 17.

Winwood is expertly eased away from the microphones by Eric Burdon early on, while Stewart does not appear until about 2:50.

Julie Driscoll is also on stage, but the real star of the show is Long John Baldry.
